About Dr. Godebu

Dr. Elana Godebu is a board certified General Urologist in El Centro with operating and staff privileges at El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC). She received her medical degree from University of California San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her Urology residency at UC San Diego (UCSD) Medical Center in 2016. She now practices in the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.

She was previously a high school science teacher which is evident in her desire to teach patients. Dr. Godebu was born in Israel. Her father was  a general doctor in a rural community called a kibbutz. She grew up wanting to be a doctor, even as a young child. At age 5, she moved to the Antelope Valley and grew up in the high desert. After completing her Urology training, she wanted to find a place to practice where there was an unmet need. The Imperial County is just such a community. There are too few Urologists to meet all the needs of the community on both sides of the border, and Dr. Godebu has truly felt that this community has welcomed her and made her feel at home. She is very happy to work in El Centro.
